International Energy Services Limited (IESL), following its new management structure, recently announced the appointment of Bayo Ige, an engineer, as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective July 1st.
IESL, an oil and gas services firm specializes in engineering, installation and maintenance, construction, technical and consultancy services.
According to the Company, Ige has a very strong engineering background in Civil/Structure, and Chemical Engineering as well as MBA from Cornell University in the United States.
The Board believes Ige is the ideal Managing Director to lead the IESL’s next chapter of growth and success given his strong track records of innovation, project execution, operational excellence, while working in the company for the past six years, developing teams that drive results.
“Ige has consistently delivered high growth during rapid periods of industrial disruption and technological advancement. He is a world-class leader with a wealth of experience. The Company is excited to welcome him to this position,” it said.
Under the new structure, Dr. Diran Fawibe, who has been the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the company for the past 31 years would be stepping down from the role of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. He would however remain the Chairman of the Company.
The Company is also deeply appreciative to Fawibe for his leadership over the years.
In addition to leading bold actions, Fawibe has aided the Company to reprioritize its product roadmap, scaled growth initiatives, significantly improved margins and positioned it for enhanced shareholder returns.
Commenting, Dr. Fawibe said: “It has been a great privilege serving International Energy Services Limited for such a long time, but the company has come of age and is ready for a transition to the next generation.”
The Company also announced the appointment of Okechi Nwoke, as an Executive Director, who has equally been performing exceedingly well since he joined the company seven years ago.
The Board also appointed Ms. Adeyinka Lawal, as the Legal and Company Secretary.
She is a full-fledged legal practitioner, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004, and subsequently acquired postgraduate qualifications in Petroleum Law and related fields.
