First HoldCo sells FBNQuest Merchant Bank to EverQuest

First HoldCo Plc, yesterday, announced the successful completion of sale of its 100% ownership in FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited to EverQuest Acquisition LLP.

The announcement, it said in a statement, is “In line with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) Rulebook, we wish to inform NGX and the investing public has successfully completed the full divestment of its 100% ownership in FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited to EverQuest Acquisition LLP.”

The HoldCo also emphasised that “This transaction has been finalized after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).”

About EverQuest Acquisition

EverQuest Acquisition is a special purpose entity and a consortium of investors that recently acquired FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited from First HoldCo Plc.

According to public information available online, the consortium is made up of Custodian Investments PlcAion Investments, and Evercorp Industries.

The acquisition was finalized in late November 2025 after receiving approval from the CBN. 

This transaction has been finalized after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
