FG, ASUU meeting deadlocked as strike continues

Yesterday’s meeting between the Federal Government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), again ended without an agreement.

Thus, the six-month old strike which began on February 14 by public university lecturers continues.

The lecturers met with the Prof. Nimi Briggs-led Committee at the National University Commission (NUC) in Abuja with high hopes of resolving the impasse.

But the meeting, which was said to have lasted for about three hours, ended without any agreement reached.
