Air Peace apologize to passengers over flights cancellation, rescheduling

By Melody Fidelis

Air Peace has apologized to its customer over recent cancellation and rescheduling of flight.

In a statement on Sunday, the airline said the flight disruptions were brought to the notice of the management through a customer’s complaint.

Air Peace admitted that on Friday, April 28, the date of the petitioner’s flight, the airline did witness several disruptions across its network, which it said was caused by unscheduled aircraft maintenance, multiple birds’ strikes experienced in the last one week.

These, it said, affected the operation parameters of the aircraft resulting in sudden withdrawal of this aircraft for detailed inspections and rectifications as they prioritise the safety of their passengers.

The statement reads further: “Also, the heavy downpour that resulted in several weather issues led to the cancellation of some of our flights due sunset restrictions in most of our airport. Unfortunately, these rescheduling and cancellations are inevitable in instances like this.

“While these factors are outside the control of the airline, we deeply empathise with and apologise to passengers whose flights were consequently disrupted.

“It is important to stress that Air peace does not deliberately disrupt its scheduled flights; neither do we take delight in delaying or rescheduling flights. In fact, most costs are incurred when flights get disrupted.”

Air Peace reiterated its commitment to providing increased connectivity for its esteemed customers and promised to continue to give value while being fully compliant with operational safety standards.

While these factors are outside the control of the airline, we deeply empathise with and apologise to passengers whose flights were consequently disrupted.
